Understanding Cuvette Volume, Material, Path Length etc.
⚡ TL;DR — Match Volume to Cuvette in 30 Seconds Sample <50 µL: sub-micro quartz cuvette. 50-500 µL: micro cuvette. 500 µL-1.5 mL: semi-micro. 1.5-3.5 mL: standard 10 mm. Path length: 10 mm is default; shorter (1-5 mm) for concentrated samples (A>1.0), longer (20-100 mm) for dilute (A<0.1). 👉 Cardinal rule: Match cuvette fill volume to ±20% of your sample size.
